Awarded to Screme Gelato Bar by the New York City Parks & Recreation, this specialty mobile food cart is the first such cart of its kind. Located at Verdi Square, outside the 72nd Subway station on the Upper West Side, it is the only Kosher Specialty food cart in New York, and allows New Yorkers to experience the highest quality gelato while they are ?on-the-go?.
This gleaming addition to the park demonstrates Screme?s commitment to improving Verdi Square not only through its presence, but also by daily continuous park clean up and refuse removal. In Screme?s short time in the park, there has already been a significant improvement to the park that many neighbors have expressed their delight at having their park be a true reflection of the greatness that New York has to offer. This improvement comes from the work of the Screme staff that ensures that litter never finds its way to the ground and that the park is always clean and welcoming.
The Screme Express Specialty food cart was custom made using the highest grade materials, and equipped with state-of-the art equipment. This is no ordinary pretzel cart - it is a gourmet store on wheels! Its sleek design follows Screme?s stand-alone stores, is staffed by the most friendly and efficient staff and naturally offers New York?s finest and freshest gelato ? as Screme?s store customers have come to know and love.
Screme Express also offers the finest Italian coffee made fresh with filtered water, freshly baked goods, and an assortment of cold, freshly made beverages to help New Yorkers beat the city?s heat. Each Screme Gelato location showcases a range of new flavors every day and guests are encouraged to taste all of them. The fresh fruit sorbet is fat- and dairy-free, and the gelato is lower-fat. In addition Screme also has the tastiest diet gelato?s, which are fat and sugar free using Stevia?, a natural sweetener. Screme?s trademark richness comes from making gelato fresh daily with the finest ingredients, in the traditional gelato style - using a milk base instead of a cream base, which cuts 2/3 of the fat compared to regular ice cream.
